Stained glass and lead work in windows can sometimes be repaired without the glass being removed. Providing the lead work surrounding the glass has not been damaged. Our stained using our many years of experience we can then advise you on the closest match to the existing glass in terms of colour and pattern. If the stained glass window or door has to be removed and repaired at our workshop, we remove the glass carefully to ensure that we do not cause any further damage. We will then fit a temporary board to protect the property whilst the work is being completed.
Should your stained glass window need to be completely rebuilt, we will carefully remove all existing glass and lead work, We will then use traditional methods to rebuild the stained glass window using all existing glass where possible and new lead. The lead joints are carefully soldered and the sealed using leaded light cement.
